summer workshopsThis will be our 15th year of creative theater adventures! Join us for an improvisation/performance-based workshop with Mara Flynn. In this week-long session, we begin each day with a little music followed by improvisation games to develop voice, body and imagination. Students will create characters and an original production to be performed on the last day. All levels of experience welcome and parts for all! Workshops will be held in the Acting Out Studio (suite #6) and the Actor's Studio located in the Tannery on 50 Water Street in Newburyport. Mara Flynn is co-director of Acting Out. She has enjoyed performing theater and music in the seacoast area, as well as New York, the west coast, and abroad. She has a BFA from NYU's Tisch School of the Arts. Mara has been teaching for over a decade, including workshops at Governor Dummer Academy, Newburyport Montessori, the New Hampshire Theater Project, 14 years of her own summer programs in Groveland and Newburyport, and classes at Acting Out!
